About this experience
The evening most first-time visitors picture when they think of Dubai: a 4x4 ride over the dunes, a camel at golden hour, and dinner under the stars at a Bedouin-style camp. We collect you from your hotel anywhere in Dubai between 14:00 and 15:00 and head out of the city. The drive itself is the first thrill. Dune bashing over soft sand in a 4x4, then a stop at the top of a dune for the sunset, which is the photograph everyone takes home. Sandboarding is there for anyone who wants it, and the camel ride runs while the light is still good. At the camp you are met with welcome drinks. Henna artists work through the evening, shisha is set out, and the live programme runs in three parts: tanoura, belly dance and fire. Dinner is an unlimited international BBQ buffet, served once the shows are under way. You are back at your hotel around six hours after pickup, so roughly 20:00 to 21:00 depending on where you are staying and on traffic coming back into the city. AED 100 is per person on a sharing basis and covers everything above, including hotel pickup and drop-off, taxes and fees. Quad bikes and alcoholic drinks are the only two things not in the price, and we quote either one before you book rather than on the night. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pickup. See where the desert sits against everything else worth a day.

Frequently asked questions
Who am I booking with?
Irha Tourism, a tour operator licensed by Dubai's Department of Economy and Tourism (trade licence 1165750). We plan your itinerary, reserve your entry and arrange your transfers, and we stay reachable on WhatsApp throughout. The attraction itself is run by its own venue team, who host you on the day.
Is the price I see the price I pay?
Yes. Prices are per person in AED and include applicable taxes and fees. Before anything is charged, our team confirms your final total with you on WhatsApp, so there are no surprises at the gate.
What time is pickup?
We collect you from any Dubai hotel between 14:00 and 15:00, and the evening runs about six hours from pickup. Your exact time depends on where you are staying, and we confirm it with you on WhatsApp the day before.
Is AED 100 the final price?
Yes. AED 100 is per person in AED and includes taxes and fees, hotel pickup and drop-off, dune bashing, the camel ride, sandboarding, the BBQ buffet and the live shows. Quad bikes and alcoholic drinks are the only extras, and we price them before you book.
Can I add quad biking?
Yes. Quad bikes are an add-on rather than part of the AED 100 price. Tell us on WhatsApp when you book and we will quote it for you.
What should I wear?
Loose, comfortable clothes and closed shoes. Sand gets into everything. From November to March the desert gets cold once the sun goes down, so bring a light jacket for the evening at the camp.
Is dune bashing suitable for everyone?
It is a 4x4 ride over soft sand and it is bumpy by design. If anyone in your group is pregnant, has back or neck problems or a heart condition, tell us before you book and we will advise you on the right option.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancellation of Premium Desert Safari with BBQ Dinner & Live Shows is free up to 24 hours before pickup.
Is hotel pickup free?
Yes. Pickup and drop-off from any hotel in Dubai are included in the AED 100. If you are staying outside Dubai, message us with the address before you book and we will tell you whether we can reach you and what it would cost.
What time am I back at my hotel?
Around six hours after pickup, so roughly 20:00 to 21:00 depending on where you are staying and on traffic coming back into the city. If you have a flight the same night, tell us before you book.
Is there vegetarian food at the buffet?
Tell us when you book. We pass dietary requirements (vegetarian, Jain, halal or an allergy) to the camp in advance and confirm back to you on WhatsApp before the day, rather than leaving you to find out at the buffet.
Can I ask for a gentler drive?
Yes. Dune bashing is bumpy by design, and not everybody wants that. Tell us when you book and we will pass it to your driver so the run over the dunes is taken more slowly.
What happens at the camp?
Welcome drinks on arrival, then henna, shisha and the live programme of tanoura, belly dance and fire, with an unlimited international BBQ buffet served once the shows are under way. Quad bikes are available as an add-on.
Which desert do you go to?
The Lahbab Desert, about an hour from Dubai, known for its red sand. It is the dune bashing most people picture when they think of a desert safari, and the colour is what makes the sunset photographs worth stopping for.
What is in the dinner, and is there vegetarian food?
A BBQ and buffet dinner at the camp with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, plus starter snacks when you arrive and unlimited soft drinks, tea, coffee and water through the evening.
Do I need to bring any documents?
No. You do not need to bring a passport, an Emirates ID or anything else for this tour. If a particular booking does need a document for any reason, we will ask you for it when we confirm, so there is nothing to arrange in advance.
