About this experience
Thirty or sixty minutes on a jet ski off Dubai Marina, on a route that runs out towards the Burj Al Arab. AED 250 for the 30 minute ride, AED 400 for the 60 minute ride, per person. You get a safety briefing and a lifejacket, then you ride your own machine with a guide leading the group. No licence is needed and first-timers are normal; the briefing covers the throttle, the turns and the distance to keep. The Burj Al Arab route is the reason to pick this over a general ride. You stop offshore with the hotel behind you, which is the photograph, and the guide takes it. Thirty minutes costs AED 250 per person and is enough to decide whether you like it. Sixty minutes is AED 400 per person and is the right call if you have done it before, because the Burj Al Arab stop and the photographs eat into a half-hour ride.
