About this experience
A 150-metre gilded picture frame standing in Zabeel Park, positioned so that old Dubai sits in one half of the view and new Dubai in the other. You go up in a lift to the sky bridge at the top, which has a glass floor panel that turns opaque and clear as you walk across it. From the north side you look at Deira, the creek and the older city. Turn around and you are looking at Sheikh Zayed Road and Downtown. That contrast is the whole idea of the building. Downstairs there is a short museum on Dubai's past and a projection on what the city expects to become. An hour and a half covers it comfortably. Gate 4 of Zabeel Park is the entrance, and Al Jafiliya is the nearest metro. Your ticket is skip-the-line entry.
