About this experience
The desert before the heat, with thirty minutes on a quad bike built into it. Pickup is between 05:30 and 06:00, which is early and is the entire point. The light at sunrise over the dunes is the best of the day, the sand is still cool and the desert is empty, because the evening safaris have not started and the day before has gone home. The quad biking is your own machine on a marked route with a guide leading. Dune bashing in a 4x4, sandboarding and a camel ride follow, with refreshments at the camp. Four hours from pickup, so you are back in Dubai by mid-morning with the rest of the day intact. That is the practical reason to choose the morning over the evening.
