About this experience
Both halves of this combination are inside The Dubai Mall, a few minutes' walk apart, which is the reason it works as a half day rather than two separate trips. At The Top takes you to levels 124 and 125 of the Burj Khalifa, 452 metres up, with the outdoor terrace on 124 and the quieter indoor deck on 125. Your ticket is skip-the-line, so you use the priority entrance rather than the standby queue. Dubai Aquarium is on the ground floor of the same mall and holds one of the largest suspended tanks in the world. The ten-million-litre tank is visible free from the mall floor, but the ticket is what gets you into the walk-through tunnel underneath it and up into the Underwater Zoo on the level above, where the penguins, the crocodile and the otters are. Doing both on one ticket saves AED 83 against buying them separately. Half a day is enough if you book the Burj Khalifa slot for late afternoon and do the aquarium first, which also puts you at the top closer to sunset.
