About this experience
Global Village is a seasonal park on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road where about ninety countries each take a pavilion, and entry is AED 25. Every pavilion is part shop, part kitchen. You can be eating Turkish gozleme, looking at Afghan carpets and watching a Chinese acrobatics troupe inside an hour. The food court runs the length of the site and the cultural shows change through the evening. It opens in late October and closes in April. It does not run in summer, so if you are here between May and September this is not an option. Go in the evening. The park opens in the afternoon but everything, the lights, the shows, the crowds, is a night thing, and the temperature makes the decision for you anyway. Your ticket is entry. Food, rides in the fairground and anything you buy in a pavilion are paid for inside. Bring a card and some cash, because smaller stalls are cash only. See where Global Village sits on a first visit.
