About this experience
A flower garden on the edge of the city holding around 150 million blooms, including an Airbus A380 covered entirely in living flowers. It is a seasonal park. It opens in November and closes in late May, because nothing would survive a Dubai summer outdoors. Inside that window the displays are rebuilt each season, so the arches, hearts and character sculptures are not the same two years running. Go in the morning or the last two hours before close. The middle of the day is hot and the light is flat for photographs, which for most visitors is the entire point of coming. Two hours is enough unless you are photographing seriously. Butterfly Garden is next door and the two work well as one trip. Your ticket is entry. Transfers are not included, and it is a long way out, so ask us for a car if you are not driving. It closes for the summer, so see the best time of year to visit Dubai.

- Mornings and the last two hours before closing have the best light. The middle of the day is hot and flat for photographs.
